I don’t generally mention The Frank lloyd Wright Quarterly. If you subscribe, you already know what’s in the current issue, and if you aren’t a member of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, since the content isn’t on-line, you can’t read it, so there really isn’t any point in mentioning it.
But the Winter 2008 issue is […]

La Miniatura (the Alice Millard House), rarely open to the public, was opened for tours on Saturday. Here is the first Flickr set from the event. 48 impressive photos, well worth checking out.
[Found via the photographer’s website]

Hands down, by a country mile, and without fear of contradiction or error, I am declaring the film Once to be the best movie of 2007, possibly the best move to date of the decade. the Irish busker movie has won the highly-coveted Frank Lloyd Wright Newsblog Trinket of Conspicuous Distinction.

The Darwin Martin complex has received a $2.5 million gift for the construction of the Toshiko Mori-designed Visitor’s Center on the site.

The foundation awarded grants ranging from $45,000 to […]

An editorial appeared in the Kankakee’s The Daily Journal “supporting local efforts”: to bring that city’s two Wright-designed homes (the Hickox and Bradley Houses — conveniently on the same street) under public ownership and to operate them as a cultural destination.

Training sessions for Wright Plus volunteers begin Saturday, February 2 and continue for the next five Saturdays. Call 708-848-1976 ext. 223 or e-mail volunteer@wrightplus.org. From what I’ve heard, volunteers for the Preservation Trust are very well-trained, so this would be a great opportunity to earn a boatload about Wright and Oak Park history.
I’ll, of course, be […]
